There is plenty to do both in and around the Estate including flying lessons at Eshott Airfield, tennis in our walled garden, clay pigeon shooting, cycling, and a number of local walks.
Some information for each is provided below. More detailed information will be forwarded with your booking pack. You will also find a comprehensive Welcome Folder in your holiday cottage, listing recommended places to eat, tours of Northumberland, local visitor attractions, etc.
Tennis
We are fortunate to have an all-weather hard tennis court in the Victorian walled garden. This is available to guests staying in the holiday cottages and all equipment is provided. Pre-booking is essential. Please contact the Estate Office for this.
Flying
Eshott Airfield is Northumberland's most accessible airfield and is only five minutes from Eshott Hall. Purple Aviation can offer trial flights in flex-wing or fixed-wing microlights taking in views of Nothumberland's historic coastline. Early booking is recommended as flights are incredibly popular.

Clay Pigeon Shooting
Whether you are new to shooting or just wish to get in some practice, Bywell Shooting ground, only 3.5 miles from Eshott Hall, will be perfect for you. It offers some of the best clay targets in the UK and has been awarded Premier Plus status by the CPSA. It offers the largest and most comprehensive trap shooting layouts in the UK.

Eshott Hall Estate Walks
There are a number of walks available around Eshott Hall Estate. A map will be available inyour holiday cottage.
Fishing
The local area around Eshott offers ample fishing opportunties for the keen angler. We can offer salmon and sea trout fishing on the Coquet, please contact us for details.
